From the 26th to 28th of November, Swire Blue Ocean (SBO) exhibited at the WindEurope Offshore 2019 that was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. The event gathered most of the offshore wind industry’s key players under the same roof over three busy exhibition days. SBO, with headquarters located just metres from the exhibition centre, was delighted to participate and many of our employees took turns welcoming visitors at the Company stand, meeting with contacts, both old and new, and attending various conferences and fringe events.
“The WindEurope Offshore event was highly anticipated as it gathered most of our clients, partners and competitors from the offshore wind industry,” says Chief Commercial Officer, Swire Blue Ocean, Jacob Gregersen. “It allows us to meet with contacts, old and new, and openly discuss business and future opportunities while building or strengthening relationships. It facilitates connections and accelerates exchanges,” he adds.
Making our presence known
As the feature of SBO’s stand, Pacific Osprey’s newly repainted 13.75-tonne hook turned out to be quite the attraction. Every visitor to the stand was invited to guess its weight for a chance to win a tour of the vessel in the port of Esbjerg. 115 guests participated in the contest and the winner was announced after the exhibition.
SBO also invited guests for a private networking gathering at its premises the first evening, where everyone mingled and enjoyed some food and refreshments in a more casual atmosphere.
Chief Commercial Officer, Swire Blue Ocean, Jacob Gregersen concludes, “We had three hectic days at the WindEurope Offshore 2019, and I must say that we made the most of them by mixing our presence at the stand with meetings, networking, conferences as well as our private event. We look forward to the event in Hamburg next September.”
